The Professor Klaus Pantel was the first to define and coin the term liquid biopsy 15 years ago. Since then, this term has become a cornerstone of our medical and scientific vocabulary, marking a major breakthrough in the monitoring and management of patients with cancer. He is also the president of the European Liquid Biopsy Society (ELBS).
