What are the tax benefits of making a donation as a French resident?
By making a donation to the IHU RespirERA, through our endowment fund, you can benefit from tax reductions provided for under French law:
For individuals:
Your donation entitles you to an income tax reduction equal to 66% of the amount donated, up to a limit of 20% of your taxable income. For example, a donation of €100 will really only cost you €34 after tax deduction. If this limit is exceeded, the excess can be carried forward to the next five years.
For companies:
As a corporate sponsor, you can deduct 60% of the amount of your donation from your corporate income tax, up to a limit of 0.5% of your sales excluding tax. If this limit is exceeded, the excess can be carried forward for up to five tax years.
We will provide you with a tax receipt at the end of your donation, enabling you to justify this benefit to the tax authorities.
