A giant lung on the Promenade des Anglais for No Smoking Month!

On Wednesday, November 12, the IHU RespirERA organized an original and immersive event, the Respiratory Health Pathway, on the Théâtre de Verdure in Nice, as part of the Mois Sans Tabac (Tobacco-Free Month) campaign.
Its goal: to raise public awareness of respiratory health and encourage people to reflect on their tobacco use.

A giant lung to visualize the effects of smoking

The highlight of the day was a giant lung installed in the heart of the venue, which drew the attention of many curious visitors.
Inside, participants could explore the respiratory system in a fun and educational way, and observe the impact of smoking on the lungs.
This striking installation helped spark conversations about prevention and inspired a genuine awareness of the health risks associated with smoking.

Informing, supporting, and screening

Throughout the day, visitors were welcomed by healthcare professionals and the teams from CSAPA L’Archet and CSAPA Emergence.
The Respiratory Health Pathway offered several key activities:

▶️ Personalized consultations with specialists to assess one’s respiratory health
▶️ Guidance and support for smoking cessation
▶️ Nicotine replacement prescriptions
▶️ And for eligible participants, lung cancer screening

A strong commitment to prevention

Through this initiative, IHU RespirERA reaffirms its commitment to active and accessible prevention for all.
By meeting people where they are, the institute aims to promote dialogue around respiratory health and encourage healthier lifestyles.
A collective and positive breath toward better health!
