- 06/18/2026

On 17 and 18 June 2026, Nice will host “Respiratory Health: From Research to Daily Life”, an event dedicated to strengthening scientific and academic exchanges between India and France, in collaboration with IHU RespirERA.

As part of the development of scientific and academic cooperation between India and France, notably within the Franco-Indian Campus, IHU RespirERA is pleased to take part in the event “Respiratory Health: From Research to Daily Life”.

This meeting will bring together experts, researchers, clinicians and innovation stakeholders around a shared objective: to encourage dialogue between French and Indian ecosystems and identify new opportunities for collaboration around major respiratory health challenges.

An event at the crossroads of health, environment and emerging technologies

Over two days, discussions will focus on key topics shaping the future of respiratory health. The programme will address the links between environmental pollution and respiratory health, a major issue for better understanding how our environment affects the lungs and airways.

The event will also explore the role of inflammation, nutrition and the microbiota in respiratory diseases. The microbiota refers to all the microorganisms, such as bacteria, living in the body and potentially influencing health.

Artificial intelligence serving precision medicine

Participants will also discuss artificial intelligence, multi-omics and precision medicine applied to respiratory health.

Multi-omics refers to the combined analysis of several types of biological data, such as genes, proteins or metabolites, to better understand disease mechanisms. Precision medicine aims to adapt prevention, diagnosis and treatment to each patient’s individual characteristics.

These approaches open new perspectives for improving the understanding of respiratory diseases and accelerating translational research, meaning the transfer of scientific discoveries into concrete applications for patients.

Creating new Franco-Indian collaborations

Beyond scientific presentations, this meeting represents a valuable opportunity to build lasting connections between research, innovation and healthcare communities in France and India.

It will help identify scientific synergies, share complementary expertise and support the emergence of new collaborations around global health challenges, with respiratory health at the forefront.
