RespirERA Institute welcomes future international leaders in Molecular Pathology

This week, IHU RespirERA, Nice University Hospital (CHU de Nice) and Université Côte d’Azur IdEx welcomed the international students of the European Master in Molecular Pathology for an intensive training week dedicated to liquid biopsy and molecular biomarkers in thoracic oncology.

Coming from 22 countries across the globe, from Peru to the Philippines, including many European countries and Canada, these physicians and scientists participated in a comprehensive programme combining lectures, scientific discussions and hands-on practical sessions.

The event also brought together international faculty members from the Netherlands and Austria, alongside molecular biologists and pathologists from IHU RespirERA and CHU de Nice. The week provided a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest developments in molecular diagnostics, precision medicine and innovative cancer testing approaches.

Through this training experience, participants were able to discover the expertise developed in Nice in the field of liquid biopsy and thoracic oncology, an area in which IHU RespirERA is recognized as a leading centre of excellence in France and across Europe.

Beyond education, the programme strengthened international collaborations and contributed to training the next generation of specialists who will help advance personalized medicine for patients with cancer worldwide.
