L’IHU RespirERA organise un événement grand public à Nice le 28 février 2026 pour sensibiliser aux enjeux de la santé respiratoire.

IHU RespirERA meets the people of Nice: what is at stake for the future of respiratory health?

02/28/2026

Respiratory health: a major issue for the population of Nice

Breathing is natural, yet the health of our lungs now faces many challenges. Air pollution, chronic respiratory diseases, epidemics, addictions, environmental factors and lifestyles all influence how we breathe and our overall quality of life.

To raise public awareness of these issues, IHU RespirERA is organising a public event on Saturday, 28 February 2026, from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, at Campus Saint-Jean d'Angély in Nice.

An open discussion for everyone

Designed as an open and accessible discussion, this event aims to meet the people of Nice, share knowledge about respiratory health, and present the missions and research carried out by IHU RespirERA.

The meeting will focus on two central themes of the institute, bringing together several experts from IHU RespirERA:

  • Prevention, early diagnosis and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in respiratory health: this first round table will focus on how prevention strategies, early detection of respiratory diseases and the use of innovative technologies can improve patient care and outcomes.

  • The impact of the environment and ageing on respiratory diseases: the second discussion will explore how environmental factors, such as air quality, and demographic changes, particularly population ageing, influence the development and progression of respiratory diseases.

The discussions will be moderated by Nancy Cattan and will provide an opportunity for everyone to ask questions, gain a better understanding of current respiratory health issues, and collectively reflect on the drivers of prevention and innovation.
