A Collective Breath on the Starting Line
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, the IHU RespirERA teams took part in the Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes, a major sporting event linking the Promenade des Anglais to the Croisette.
This year, the institute was represented across all race categories — relay, half-marathon, and marathon — bringing together researchers, scientists, administrative staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, all running under the colors of IHU RespirERA.
United in Effort and Shared Values
More than a sporting challenge, this participation symbolized the strength of collective spirit and the shared commitment of an entire community united around a common goal: promoting respiratory health and personal achievement.
The group photo taken the day before the event reflects this sense of unity — a moment of connection, motivation, and togetherness that perfectly embodies the spirit driving IHU RespirERA every day.
Patients at the Heart of the Journey
Among the participants, two patients stood out in this year’s edition: Pierre Bellec and Karine Rogala, both competing in the relay race. Their involvement beautifully illustrates the meaning of our collective commitment — the pride of finding one’s breath again, running once more, and inspiring the entire institute community.
