Graduation ceremony for the MSc Biobanks and Complex Data Management

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, 8 students received their diplomas upon completion of the Master of Science (MSc) Biobanks and Complex Data Management, jointly offered by Université Côte d'Azur and IHU RespirERA.
This ceremony marked the culmination of 2 years of training dedicated to biobanking and complex data management in innovation and health issues.

Through an English-taught program combining theoretical instruction, projects, and professional experience, graduates acquired skills in quality management, ethics, bioinformatics, and the valorization of data from biobanks.

A program at the heart of the challenges of tomorrow's medicine

The development of biobanks plays a growing role in biomedical research and in the evolution toward increasingly personalized medicine. MSc programs thus prepare professionals to meet the challenges related to the collection, storage, and use of biological samples and associated data.

The program relies on a network of recognized academic, hospital, and scientific partners, including CHU de Nice, INRA, FHU OncoAge, Inria, Centre Antoine-Lacassagne, Cancéropôle PACA, and IPMC.

Reflecting on the future of biobanking and pathology

On the occasion of this graduation ceremony, Prof. Paul Hofman, Director of IHU RespirERA, addressed the graduates and their loved ones.
His speech notably focused on the future of biobanking and the evolution of the pathology profession, in a context marked by the development of new technologies, precision medicine, and artificial intelligence.
